Intaglio is a technique I have a love-hate relationship with. I love the possibilities it gives me, the noble interplay between paper and surface, surface and tool. That’s exactly why I hate preparing the surface, and how long it takes to pull off even a smaller format, let alone a bigger one. I’m sure that one day I’ll return to it with open arms.
